Zaha won't personally speak to Parish or hand in a transfer request as I read he is due a £6M loyalty bonus, or something very similar along those lines from a guy who is usually ITK on Twitter (Don't always believe the internet, mind) A few people on here said I have undervalued Wilf saying we should look at taking around £50-60M with further add ons. He is worth £100M+ to us, correct and I totally agree in relation to our PL status. He is only worth what someone is willing to pay, which isn't £100M. People have continued to say 'well, we won't sell him and let him sulk and honour his contract' and we just need a reality check on this thread ! Sadly, player and agent power is now at it's highest and contracts only serve a purpose in regards to holding a players transfer value or release clause. Arsenal need to up their bid, yes. Zaha will continue to train and play for Palace until resolved, yes. The point I keep making is if this affects his performances and we don't cash in, we have a deprecating asset not playing well and we struggle without a good fee to replace him or bulk the squad up. It doesn't mean I'm right and it's what I think or want to happen, it's a point of view in regards to the worst case scenario. I don't want to hold a player here at gun point as that would be miserable for all concerned, but why should we take 25% less than what we want? I don't see any other smaller PL clubs doing that. Have Leicester done that with Maguire? Did they do that with Mahrez? Or how about Richarlison at Watford? Us asking 100m is us saying he is not not for sale, 80m is us saying that is our value. The other big part of this is the upfront fee. What good are add ons unless they are guaranteed (which by their nature they generally aren't)? Arsenal would probably offer to pay an extra fee if they get CL football, which at the moment seems unlikely. Wilf may not even succeed which again could impact appearance based add ons. I would say 40m up front with 40m guaranteed to be paid over 4/5 years would be worth considering if Wilf is going to try and force a move, but the up front fee would need to be paid within a year. When you think Chelsea wanted 10m per year loan fee for RLC it shows you what a joke Arsenal's 8m per year installments offer was. I get your point about depreciation, but Wilf has shown himself to be a very professional athlete so I just don't see him messing about.

And Wilf is worth more than $50m, whether anyone’s willing to pay it or not.

Parish must stand firm. £80m. If Z really wants away he will have to buy his way out the contract. agree 100 percent .

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Every time Arsenal comes in with a low bid, we should increase the price. That is how you barter. I would not sell him at all. We will almost certainly be relegated after selling two of our best ever players.

I’ve heard the same. Without having seen Reiss Nelson play too much and having just seen his stats and heard the hype, I actually don't think that's that bad an offer. Their combined market value is probably in the £35m range. Gives us a new winger, CB/RB/DM cover, and we have £75m to spend this summer. And that's just breaking even. Make them chuck in Jenkinson as well though, why not. No loss to us if he doesn't turn out to be that good - we won't have paid for him.
