The thing it makes me wonder is whether our financial structure and committee based strategy* is why we can sometimes appear indecisive in the transfer market. *I say this because Textor previously talked about being outvoted, despite being our top shareholder. So if big transfers first go to a vote, and then finance is arranged,/negotiated, that might make being agile in the transfer market difficult

On the face of it, Harris and Blitzer seem happy with the way that Parish is running the club. Textor not so much. I have to say that I’m disappointed with the way that Textor’s shareholding has worked out. I had the pleasure of briefly meeting him soon after he invested, and I was impressed with what he had to say about football in general and Palace in particular. It wasn’t clear to me then that he had plans for multi club ownership. My perception is that his risk appetite is on a different level to the more cautious Parish. And if that is the case then I don’t see Textor being in it for the long haul.

When he was leaking stories about wanting to spend more money and the others blocking him he didn't say where the money was coming from. I suspect he meant we should borrow it and Parish said no. Textor maybe the single biggest shareholder but I guess that Harris and Blitzer default their voting rights to Parish on most things.

In a way he is more of a front man for a consortium of rich guys so that means he has to satisfy them he knows what he is doing. He is up to his arm pits in debt over Lyon who are rock bottom so I doubt his investors are happy.

The sooner the better the Textor fella has nothing to do with our club. He is a disaster waiting to happen.

I just wonder if the layers of player profiling and recruiting, in addition to the layers and complexity of financing, is problematic for signing players with our ownership structure. No matter the legal provisions to try to simplify these issues.

The question that I always ask myself is why does a billionaire want to invest /buy 40% of a football club that has reached its peak ? Mid table premier league team and thats it ,FFP restricts investment and he can be out voted ,so what the hell is he here for , not as if we have massive profits at the end of the season he can harvest is it ?

We haven't reached our peak. We're still in a tatty stadium with 26,000 and very few corporates. We've only just modernised the academy. On the football side we're on the greasy pole to relegation every season and always struggling with injuries in 3 areas and little backup.

The stadium is the big problem ,even the proposed upgrades which some including myself have doubts over (they would have done it by now if they could) will only get us to 30,000 ,thats 14th highest in the PL a mid table side which is where we are anyway .In truth we are punching above our weight as it is ,the improvements on the ground ,the academy(Sheffield utd , Luton and Bournmouth are the only prem teams without cat 1 acadamies)just get us to where we should be .

The main stand is just the start of the revamp. I’m sure we would see incremental capacity increases up to around the 40k mark if we can stay in the PL for another ten or so uears and beyond.
