Todays extra download is the first album or bootleg that I've posted by this band. They are called The Rockets and this is a show that was recorded at the Agora Theatre, Cleveland in 1979. This band made 5 studio albums and had a hit with a cover of the Fleetwood Mac song "Oh Well". They split up in 1983 but recently reformed with a different line up to perform in 2010 and are still going... This is a great set, so if you don't know this band - try them out.... Todays first download is a set by Ian Dury and the Blockheads that was recorded at the Dominion Theatre, London on Christmas Eve 1980. This is in superb quality - the audio has been ripped from a pre FM soundboard source and sounds top notch. Good quality Ian Dury boots are rare - and this is a good one, a very, very good one. Some classic tracks on this one - which ends with "Sex & Drugs & Rock n Roll" which unfortunately cuts out - but it's still one of the best Ian Dury bootlegs anywhere on the net... Todays second download is a set by Muse that was recorded in Nagoya, Japan in 2010 while the band were on the "Resistance" tour. This is in superb quality and is a great set. I've posted a few boots by this band in the past, but none for a while. A good selection of tracks on this one - which is thoroughly recommended... Todays extra download is a set by the late Clarence Clemons that was recorded in 1983 at Ripley's Music Hall, Philadelphia. CC was known as "Big Man" and was a member of Bruce Springsteens' E Street Band. He released a few solo albums with his band The Red Bank Rockers. I'm afraid the tracklisting on this one is all over the shop as they are not named or numbered... so will have to be sorted. This is thoroughly recommended... Todays first download is a set by the late Gary Moore that was recorded in Hamburg, Germany in 2000. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast. I recently posted a good GM boot - this is better, in both quality and content - although GM doesn't play "Parisienne Walkways" on this one either. What we do get is a great show of fantastic blues/rock guitar - which GM was a master of. This set is fantastic - it rocks big time.... thoroughly recommended....
