Yes, he has won again and with an increased majority despite over 100, 000 members being excluded form the votes, most of whom would probably have backed him.

So far he has been fighting with one hand tied behind his back because the Blairite MPs have been plotting against him since he was first elected. They will not be happy now but they should at least accept that they have got to give him a fair chance.

When the public actually get to understand his policies (on opposing grammar schools for example)the polls will improve. If we can mobilise the nearly 700,000 member4s we have got we will be able to give the Tories a run for their money.

Surely the "Blairite MPS" will all be de-selected by their local party tribunals in the Great Purge that will now commence?

Not a snowflake in hades chance whilst Corbyn is leader.
Every Government needs an effective opposition - Theresa May is under NO threat at all from Corbyn and his 'Army' of placards and protestors.

Labour are now further from power than any time in their history.

I don't think the likes of Tom Watson or Hilary Benn are 'Blairites'.

They are part of a centre left tradition within the party.

I know, I agree with you Matt. I was just using the term used by DavidPercival, who lumped together all critics of Corbyn as 'Blairite'.

Spot on. Corbyn's (and Labour's) best chance might be to settle somewhere between Watson and Corbyn on the left.

In theory, a hard left leadership, restrained by the PLP to a more moderate left position, could be an electoral winner. Or a disaster. Depends where another 3 and a half years of Tory rule puts us! More austerity and cuts plus wherever the economy is once Brexit really kicks in might send voters scurrying away from the Tories, especially if the 'kick the establishment' feeling continues. The question is, can Labour draw them in, or will UKIP, or even the Lib Dems, seem a more attractive proposition for those voters who sit firmly in the centre ground of the political spectrum?

Not really knee jerk. It would be a worry if any political party (never mind a party within a party) wanted to provide creche facilities and explain the benefits as:

“increasing children’s involvement in Momentum and the labour movement by promoting political activity that is fun, engaging and child-friendly”

I am surprised that a liberal thinker sees nothing to be concerned about

Will the tiny trots be given top marxs?

I still fail to see how looking for a fairer society is hard left? Does Corbyn want state control of everything? No. Is he asking for the end of capitalism? No.

Corbyn (to my mind) represent democratic socialism

Does his mate, Andrew Murray, tipped to be the next General Secretary of the Labour Party, want state control of everything and would he like to see an end of Capitalism? After all he is a member of the Communist Party of Britain. To your mind, is he a representative of 'democratic socialism'?

I didn't say all the MPs were Blairites. I said the Blairites never accepted Corbyn's victory and plotted against him. Unfortunately, Some others who are not Blairites got dragged into that (e.g. H Benn)

Last night BBC 4 had a bandana wearing Kieth Richards night. Although they allowed him to air his views, I don't believe the BBC then made everyone wear bandanas as a matter of policy.
