I have no idea if Trump is a good business man I certainly don't like him but the question that needs to be answered is why did he lose that money? Was he investing for the future, bad luck or plain stupidity. I suspect peoples answer will depend on how they view Trump. Yes, I suspect you’re right. My post was more aimed at his ego not wanting the figures publicised rather than any underlying business reasons for the loss.

You come across as a bit of a gullible sucker if all you can say is TDS whenever someone criticizes Trump. Your so called business genius, deal making expert, is actually a crap businessman, one of the worst in the entire country. Thats not TDS, its just a fact. When a Trump fan cries TDS, it usually means someone is using facts again, how dare they. He is such a dummy he even lost money when running a casino. That is practically impossible ffs. Donald Trump received 413 million dollars (adjusted for inflation) over his lifetime from dad Fred, according to the New York Times. Donald Trump is currently worth 3.1 billion dollars, according to Forbes. I'd put that down as a very successful return, despite his many failed business ventures. But facts don't care about envy. Trump has taken millions off of food stamps and the US economy is booming and this is in direct contradiction to what Democrats said would happen.....even their supporters in this thread. To quote Obama during the 2016 election on Trump's trade/job and economic claims, 'Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What exactly are you going to do? There’s no answer to it,” Obama said. “He just says, ‘Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’ Well, what, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.' He has taken action on poor trade deals that the Democrats weren't going to do and the number of manufacturing jobs.....it's at a 20 year high reversing the downward trend since those trade deals. I was directly told by Trump critics that this improvement wouldn't happen. They were wrong and if they are genuinely interested in the economics of the US they need to reflect upon that. Maine you need to be more objective.

This isnt about Trumps performance in relation to the US economy. The post you are replying to is me pointing out he is a liar, cheat, and con man. He couldnt even turn a profit running a casino ffs. As Teddy Eagle correctly points out, the reason he was so desperate to keep his tax returns private is now clear; They show him for what he is and blow his public persona out of the water. At the time someone was ghost writing the 'art of the deal' he was busy losing a billion dollars and change. Without daddy propping him up he would be on food stamps. Trump is a liar and a con artist, and this proves it. I am happy to admit the US economy is doing very well on his watch, although you are never far away from another tweet that tanks the stock market and my 401k. Now its his rhetoric concerning china and new tariffs. However this is the only area in which Trump is overseeing something which people can see is remotely in a positive light. His approach to the Middle East (declaring victory over ISIS like a compulsive teenager/MBS fiasco), Russia (giving Putin a pass for meddling in 2016 and offering him a free pass to help Trump again in 2020), white nationalism ( "not a growing issue" and "good people on both sides" ), climate change ( "not really happening" ) to name but a few, are totally unacceptable and are an embarrassment to my adopted country. The simple fact that right wingers like you think liberals have TDS is that Trump oversees many areas of domestic and international policy, and generally royally f*cks them every single one up, with the exception of the economy.
