Southampton do all the time. That's why they ares o darned good at it. A massive constantly-updated dossier of potential recruits for the current or any new manager to look though. I'm pretty sure Southampton have a bigger and better team of staff related to transfers, including a director of football.

I seen a report on social media that his pellergino contract at alves run until the end of the month. Although he resigned it might be a case , where he's been paid for the rest of the month.

Ronald Koeman left Southampton in mid June last year and Claude Puel was appointed two and a half weeks later.Southampton might have known that Koeman was on his way much earlier than when he actually left for Everton.Understand that Puel was interviewed 3 times before he was appointed.
