If Sheff.U play like that in every game they will be well clear of trouble, they did what they did brilliantly and we had no answer to it, all the teams last season that played similarly caused us huge massive problems, it's just the way we are set up.

At least we can't be that bad again this season. Right?

The worst thing about today’s defeat is that once again we were so boring ! Roy’s tactics bore the pants off me and he is so predictable- sub brought on today after 63 minutes - again !!!!! Totally agree - we were truly dreadful today. With the exception of Zaha, we have zero flair or pace and look so wooden and pedestrian. We have to be one of the most boring teams in all 4 divisions.

I have been out with my dear wife tonight. She told me in no uncertain terms that she had heard enough of my moaning and groaning which started when the match was in progress and continued as we were having a tipple or two in a local establishment.I have been horrified by our awful performance. I suspect it affects us loyal supporters far more than the players who have totally failed to deliver and short-changed all of us.Shame on them. Edited by Willo (18 Aug 2019 11.10pm)

Embarrassing today, but Palace won't get relegated, whereas Sheffield United will. I agree Sir. We were as bad as any team has ever played in this division and they weren't much better.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Sheff.U only had one other real chance and that was given to them by van Aanholt losing possession in a ridiculous place so for all their hard pressing our defence was solid in actual defending with great blocks and bodies in the way when you actually think about it.
