Come on...you can try harder than that.

I thought Dann looked solid enough, which was encouraging. As I was starting to worry he was done. But that's about it as far as positives go.

Hmm, this won’t by definition be a long thread, but I’ll chuck in my positive.

2) you can never score less than zero goals.

3) I had a lovely roast dinner

There was a real lack of quality all over the pitch for both teams yesterday. The only difference in the two teams was heart and desire. They had all of it and we had zero.

I can take a loss on the chin, I can't accept a gutless performance. This team needs a rocket up it and several hairdryers thrown at them.

4) I don’t think we’ll see a worse performance this season

(If you’re reading this Roy, don’t see this as a challenge)

Too many unforced errors, long balls and inaccurate crosses. We hardly got behind their back line and our running off the ball was non-existent. We can’t help but play better...or can we?! Where are the goals going to come from?

Not from benteke. Get Wickham and Eyew up front with Zaha and Townsend supplying them.

Regards to benteke you can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome anymore.

We have a championship back four, a slow midfield and a woeful attack. No wonder we’re so bad

I never thought of it in that way, but your absolutely right

To me all that you have mentioned stems from the training ground. Today football is a lot different than it was 5 years ago and completely changed from the time when Hodgson methods where new. Training, tactics and game approach have all changed. If we are going to survive in this league, then all the above has to change.
Who know maybe that’s why Steven Reid quit, because his outlook on the game were being ignored.

South London & Proud
Sometimes I really wonder if family are really worth it.

Yes, nice bloke, in the wrong league. Not sure sick-note or JE will, although I thought Jordon had a decent game v Everton. Hopefully Batman will get no game-time at Chelsea and we can get him back in Jan. Can’t see any ?other big name half decent striker wanting to join the current set up!

Roy’s body language is not good at all.

I actually thought we had reached rock-bottom in terms of the performance but I think that we could sink even further 'south'.Total disgrace.

Someone I know has money on Hodgson being the first PL manager to go.

Unfortunately, i hope he wins his bet, have been a big supporter of Roy, but past his sell by date, need someone younger like, Potter , the new Brighton manager

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

JohnB Flag 19 Aug 19 8.27am

Roy has not been backed at all and since he's been at the club we have made a profit of about £25m in player sales and let a lot of players go on frees or return to their parent clubs and not replaced them.

However, his reluctance to play to our strengths and his unwaivering loyalty to certain players could be his downfall here.

To not have got in a striker this window is criminal. I feel sorry for Roy but even with a change in formation and style at this point still doesn't hide the fact that we don't appear to have a striker at the club who is capable of getting more than 5 goals a season at the moment. I don't think playing to Benteke's strengths would change that either.

I was too angry with yesterday's "performance" to post anything when I got back from the game last night. It was very noticeable at the game the lack of signing & the resigned comments regarding the substitutions. We urgently need to get some effort into midfield & leave Benteke out, otherwise we will get relegated. it looks like RH has no clue what to do once the game has started to get away from us. We cannot rely on 3 teams being worse than us to save us, we need to be proactive in our endeavours to stay up.

Singing !! damn predict text; although not signing a centre forward & RB was criminal.
