Terrible first half. The midfield just didn't work, simply not enough creativity amongst Schlupp, Luka, JMac and Andros.

If Roy wants to persist with 4-4-2 in Zahas absence then Townsend should play up front with Ayew (as he did end of last season with Zaha), the midfield should then be Milivojevic in front of the back 4 and Meyer, Kouyate and McArthur in the midfield. Kouyate and Meyer will allow Milivojevic to play more like he did last year when Cabaye was in the side.
