In my ideal world our own nobs would wake up to the reality that we are (in the global scheme of things) a small offshore island, lost the empire decades ago,and have been declining economically for 100 years or more. Once there is that perspective, people can evaluate the way forward more effectively where giant cats other than us now prowl the jungle just as we used to,preferably in a way that does not place a 110% value on visceral dislike of "the other" (immigrants),thus lessening lines of clear vision. Just an opinion.
