Not sure where to start with this reply.
Many have been put up in hotels. Is there actual evidence they have been left at Victoria ( apart from charities say so?).
The reason I say this is, there are claims of no food, clean clothes, showers. This is totally fabricated, I have today spoken to some BF Officers who have been working on South Coast, so have somewhat more knowledge than most.
Here is a couple of examples of what they have had to endure:
Each arrival are given clean clothes and shoes. Many throw the clothes back as they are not designer:
All are given food on arrival, thrown back and pizzas demanded, which are supplied. All at tax payer expense.
You mention some are disappearing, that is correct but many run off as they get off the dinghies without attempting to claim “asylum “, happy to disappear.
Ideally all should be detained on arrival pending application consideration, never going to happen due to lack of space.
Many of the “children” are not minors.
You will probably say I am defending the Tories again, not at all, I just get fed up with the relevant facts not being reported and people believing what suits their agenda

Labour supported all the financial decisions that led to this, in fact they pushed for harder and more lockdowns and they are fully behind Ukraine war policy.

It is nothing but pure opportunism by Labour and its supporters, they can only fool the goldfish among us.

The continual focus on Brexit is a falsehood as the EU economies are doing no better, in fact the UK is roughly in the middle comparatively and the only reason for that is that we have North sea gas and the Norway supply.....Which if we were in the EU right now we would be expected to share.

I don't recall the context of the "sub species" comment. It must have been years ago. There certainly have been some here whose approach seemed at odds with what I regard as normal human behaviour. Perhaps I was being a little sarcastic, who knows?

If I recall correctly my remark about how and why people leave jobs was a general one and not directed specifically at anyone in particular. Therefore the only reason anyone would get upset is because it touched a nerve somewhere. The innocent have nothing to fear from remarks that don't apply to them, whatever the context.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

It's not just the thickos in the politics forum as it seems that they monopolize other forums too and insult anyone who disagrees with them.

One fellow monopolizes a thread about outdoor smokers detailing what and how he cooks things and I had the temerity to suggest that I didn't like the taste of smoked meats covered in rubs to which he told me that I was obviously new to barbecuing and was doing it all wrong.

I probably bought my first bbq before he was born but many of the dicks over there don't like anyone with a different opinion on anything be it politics or food

The continuation in high average excess deaths is sadly still very much with us: the media are not that interested.
