Gonzalo Sorondo, one of the best 'footballing centre-halfs' I've seen at Palace.

As a younger fan, Boyce and Sorondo are the stand-outs for me. Boycey was so consistent and reliable, whilst Sorondo was just pure class.

I am a sad case and also remember Cannon's debut against Chelsea to it was the first (and last) time after 4 years of trying that we won a game against a London team during our first run in the then first division. Full back - what about John Sewell - could run backwards faster than anyone I've seen (and that goal against Sprake's Leeds!!!)

John McCormick, the craggy Scott, who was an absolute brick wall and lets not forget the returning Tony Popovic.
