The team is the one that won it for the first time, season 1976-7. Sansom, Walsh & Brennan didn't play in the 1977-8 team as they were too old. So we have a dispute - is it Lovell or Dare in the front row? There's only one way to find out..........

Sorry to disagree but it IS Steve Lovell in the front row, not Kevin Dare. I believe that the picture is of the 1976 Youth Cup winners but I may be wrong. The lad bottom left was a Ransom or similar, can't remember.

No, Bin, the player between Sansom & Murph is definitely Steve Leahy.

The player between Sansom and the great Murphy is Steve Leahy. He had a ridiculous head of hair. My vote for Lovell is the lad directly behind the cup in the fron row.

Yes, the one behind the Cup I think is Lovell but Bin thinks it's Dare. It is deffo Leahy at the back. Maybe someone else can settle this!
