In all my time watching football, the very best insult came at my local team, Burgess Hill Town. After a huge mistake from the referee all the adults started shouting abuse at him, probably with a handful of choice words (although the language is fairly well controlled down there). As it died down, the voice of a small child came out of the crowd "shame on you". So concise, so innocent and so perfectly timed that the entire crowd AND the referee laughed.
