Don't agree with the decision especially as its 100 years since the Somme & like many on here I lost relatives in this slaughter house. But why are Northern Ireland not getting the same level of criticism?
So why have they not all argued about this issue & changed the rules before?

We have the national anthem, they have a song about a 700 year old battle that they didn't bother to write until the 1960's. ..... yes and I always thought the Flour of Scotland was MacDougalls? That song certainly gives them Home Pride!

Makes no difference - remembrance is not political unless you want to misrepresent the thanks being expressed to the fallen. From a UK view it is not political but it's what it would lead to. You'd have teams all over the world claiming their emblem is not political. That's why FIFA have a ban.

Don't Germany still have the emblem of the third reich on their badge or are they claiming that's just a cartoon phoenix? My arse FIFA, make them stop.

Wales had poppies on their track suits before the rugby. Both they and Argentina laid poppy wreaths.
