Anyone hoping Palace lose tomorrow?

Waiting until January is not a good idea, between now and the transfer window a new manager can identify our biggest problems and look to bring in suitable players. If a manager joins in Jan then he will want to give the current players a chance as is the norm. I am not one for wanting to sack managers and have backed Pardew for longer than he deserves but its clear it is not going to work and things will only get worse.

We often like to think we are but at times like this I do question our support. I hope its the noisy few who do the hounding IF Pardew turned this around there will be a massive amount of humble pie. Can't we just support 100% and leave Parish to decide on the leadership. Good on S Parish to give Pardew every chance everyone knows it won't continue for the long term one way or another.

I'm hoping we win and then go on one of Pardew's successful runs. I don't believe it's going to happen, because the state of our defending is so bad, and our players are in such disarray, that I can't see Pardew recovering the situation - but for the good of the club I do hope I'm wrong.

I always respect and generally agree with your posts but struggling with the idea of wanting the palace to lose. I do understand where you are coming from, but I still believe AP will turn it around and embark on an unbeaten run.

That was my recollection too plus when asked about a consultancy role he said that he would have to run it past the FA

People are now wanting the team to lose so he gets sacked so therefore surely they don't want a complete turn around in our fortunes. You are so certain that you want him gone regardless of results, would your opinion change if that scenario happened? Football fans are fickle I get that, what I fail to understand is how stopping supporting the team is going to help in any way - And yes, wanting us to lose is failing to support the team in my opinion, no matter how loud you sing on Saturday.

I also fail to see how booing and berating every small mistake from the stands is supposed to help the confidence on the pitch, I don't believe for a second that it doesn't effect a players performance, professional athlete or not.

Alan has made a lot of mistakes but so have the players. There in it together and need to sort it out. As i say if he doesn't by the Watford game he will go.

Never want us to lose & am still hoping Pards can turn it around, only the 2nd manager to take us to a cup final! Sure he's fooked up but look at West Ham ffs they have a good set up a good squad and still as pants as us! Like everybody else I never want to see us lose but looking at the big picture if I knew for a fact that a defeat tomorrow would mean the end of Pardew then I would take it. A new manager coming in now would still have 24 games to keep us in the division, plenty of time.

Then of course you have to factor in that other clubs will make changes in the hope of staying up too the dignified don't even enter in the game
