Even if the club reveals its transfer budget, I guess that they need to be taken with a huge pinch of salt. It is all part of the game of smoke and mirrors, I guess.

We could do with upgrading Ward but it's certainly low on the list of priorities for me. He's a fairly consistent 6/7 out of 10 for us and though there is clearly room for improvement, getting in a new GK, another striker and a defensive leader significantly more pressing concerns as far as I'm concerned.

Incidentally if the figure of four more signings is correct one of them could be a loan don't forget Yeah I'd agree that Parish is most likely trying to get one of more expensive signings as a loan with option to buy. Maybe Chambers or the striker possition. If a £10-20m transfer can be a loan it's sure gonna make things easier. Don't expect Parish will make the same mistake and not have a buy option agreed should the player be for sale.

the further the the window is open, the better for us re: sakho. if LP can't offload him by end of the window, we may be able to get him for much cheaper than they'd be asking. they can't want to pay his wages as there's no chance he'll play.
