Thanks for the heads up on this. It seem odd to have a Football "Lads" Alliance in this day and age. The Stand Up to Racism article alleges some dodgy links, for example:

The far right groups are getting more savvy by keeping their Nazi flags locked in their wardrobes but they are just the same old same old at heart.

It's official the veterans and the FLA will march together on Oct 7th.
It's expected that at least 100,000 will attend.

Yes, they have and do condemn all forms of extremism,and yes there will be infighting that is to be expected.
Bottom line is their ethos is no violence, no racism anybody who doesn't agree is not welcome.
I too am waiting to see how this pans out and if there is hint that its going the way of the EDL then I'm out.
Veterans fought against racism and for our freedom so for them to join is a big thing and labelling them facists is insulting to them and their achievements.
As far as I'm aware stand up to racism were asked to join as well but declined.
Instead they concentrated on a few individuals with dodgy pasts.

Wait and see like me on how the march will go and make your judgments then.

Some on the FLA march weren't very peaceful towards the members of the Stand Up To Racism who were giving out leaflets. At least two of them were hit on the head by full beer cans (one a Sikh) and police had to stop individuals from attacking them. Why would some supporters of this "non-racist" movement have a problem with anti-racists leafleting the march I wonder? Why did so many speakers at the opening rally have a go at Diane Abbott, the first black Shadow Home Secretary?
