The first day of last season was bad enough, but what will always stay in my memory is the first day of 2005/06. We had just been relegated and Luton had just been promoted. Easy-peasy. Big confident home crowd on a lovely summer's day. Palace 1, Luton 2 - and the score didn't flatter the visitors.

Very tough one to call. Really need 3 points from this one but as said by others they will be bouncing and I think we will be nervous. I see us having a large percentage of possession that we need to convert in to chances. First goal for me will win the game. A very narrow, nerve wracking 1 0 Palace.

Bad feeling about this one, I don't think we're ready and with Huddersfield obviously having that newly promoted enthusiasm and commitment, I'm thinking another lame opening day home defeat ala West Brom last year!! 0-1 to them!! It's a banana skin for sure, they'll give 100% and then some. I think frank will have us in good enough shape for our quality to shine through. Don't expect them to trouble us, maybe a mistake will lead to a goal but I expect us to score twice. 2-0 or 2-1 More important I think is how we play, which I predict will be well.
