I will be happy with this outcome. Another nail-biting season for us supporters who are resigned to witnessing a distinct dearth of goals and the team just grinding out results with entertainment at a premium. In terms of relegation from the PL,in a conversation prior to Saturday with a chap involved in football, I selected Newcastle, Sheff Utd and Norwich but alas my record at prognostication leaves a lot to be desired!

At the moment I don't see three teams worse than us. The teams that are less skillful on paper seem to have younger fitter players than ours. Our team looks like it could have another injury crisis at any moment. If our best eleven were all fit and motivated then yes there would be teams poorer than ours but I'm not sure if we'll see our best eleven play well together at all this season. Yes it's negative but it's how I feel right now.

Norwich, pretty football but that won’t be enough. Newcastle, Steve Bruce, Sheffield United or Villa .. toss of a coin. We will finish between 9 and 13, zero time in the bottom 3.

We will be fine because we know how to defend. The likes of Bournemouth, Brighton and Villa will loook great one week then get battered the next.
