Clearly not fit and wasn’t able to go at people at pace, but he was still our most dangerous passer - slipped at least 4-5 into the box which is more than the rest of the team combined. He wasn’t good, but probably a 6/10, which I’d make our best performer on the day. Tactics are utter utter s***e - there is no plan to create chances outside of hoping Wilf or Ayew produce a moment of magic, which just isn’t sustainable. 3 defensive midfielders at home to Burnley is taking the piss. 1 sub in 75 mins (which is one DM replacing another) is a disgrace, even more so when you’re entitled to 5. There cannot be a less dangerous flank in the Prem than Ward and Townsend down the right.. that’s a top half championship pairing. We’re not even close to being worth watching at the moment - £600+ a season ticket to see 20 goals and maybe 5 wins. It’s pathetic.

I’m not worried for him at all, he has been massively rewarded for kicking a ball around for an average team. All his performances have done this year is convince the decent teams that they probably don’t need him. At £35m to £40m a team may still take a punt, but with his sell on fee to Manure, Parish won’t sell him at such a price so he is possibly stuck with us until his contract ends, or the last year of it.

By sulking all season he has massively reduced his chances of getting a decent move

Wilf didn’t look fit last night but still usually occupied 2-3 of the opposition which should have created space for others. I don’t think it’s fair or accurate to say that he wasn’t trying. Zaha hasn’t had the best of seasons and from that perspective this close season is a good time to give him the move he wants. However, the financial landscape has now changed and I think we would ‘ only ‘ get around £45-50m.

Zaha sprung into life when put on the right. Considering Townsend is left footed and Zaha right footed, I struggle to say that we are using the correct tactics.

Still made the best cross of the game. If the defender hadn’t got a slight touch Jimmy Mcarthur could have easily scored the header. Ward didn’t do much wrong for a full back at Palace.

Reliably informed by the official announcement on the club website or..? Informed by a learned gentleman. I don't have any recollection of perusing the Arsenal website. I certainly don't view a plethora of club websites in search of information. Edited by Willo (30 Jun 2020 5.04pm)
