Having said that the dotted lines are clearly going to different points on the arms of both players. Bamfords looks like its on his Elbow, and his arm clearly was closer to goal. A dotted line correctly positioned on his arm would show onside. Just goes to show how much of a cr@p system it is.
Bamford's line is drawn too close to the elbow and Clyne’s is drawn on completely the wrong side of his arm (all on VAR’s own system). Considering those aspects and how close VAR shows the margin of offside to be, were their lines drawn in the correct position, anyone who has looked at the Image being used can see that Bamford would’ve been on side. (This also doesn’t take into account that due to Kouyate’s body shape and position relevant to Bamford, he was potentially also playing him onside but the lines couldn’t be drawn as the left boot and left buttock were obscured by Bamford due to the camera angle.)

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing when I saw this thread.... "If only I could be bothered to photoshop Bamfords face onto all those Kim Jong Un photos!" :-)

VAR has made some pretty horrific decisions but this one was about as bad as it gets. I don’t know what goes through the mind of the people who make these decisions. No football fan could possibly watch that and think it is offside. They probably would have lost anyway considering how the game went but this really needs to be sorted out.

The VAR had to make a decision based on the images relayed to him.
