I said when he joined WBA that their squad wasn't good enough. I like their new striker, but they still don't look good enough for the PL. We had a decent squad when he joined us and just needed a couple of players. Same at Sunderland and Everton. He has admitted he underestimated how tough it would be. Maybe he will retire for a few months again

Mission impossible for BFS,who said after match: We got to put a run together with more wins than draws!!

Even if the WBA job ends badly I honestly dont think it would be too long before some other relegation threatened club is on the phone asking him to come & bail them out.

A task too far for Big Sam, he simply doesn't have the personnel. The throstles could only reach around 30points if they got point a game from here.

They've got Man U next then a easier run of games against Brighton, Burnley, Palace and Newcastle. If they number of points between them and 17th is reduced to a 6 point gap by then they still could stand a chance.

If there had been a good window in January there could possibly be a recovery. But they haven't, Snodgrass is hardly going to make any difference. You really need a deep squad in the PL, as we are seeing at CPFC for the first. We have plenty of injuries but there is cover, before we just about got through somehow.

Too little too late. I would love us to sign Pereira but i think he's destined for a bigger club than us.

It would be easy to point to a 10 man Chelsea and Southampton thinking about the Cup as reasons for West Brom's last two results. But, they played some really good football and scored fine, well worked goals. 8 of them, after scoring only 20 in their previous 29 games. I particularly like Pereira. Allerdyce has done well to motivate them after looking doomed a couple of weeks ago. Some tough games to come though and difficult to see them avoiding the drop.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Although the Chelsea result was a gargantuan shock, a 5-2 win was certainly in "Freak result" territory but credit to WBA for their stupendous victory. Against Southampton they were up against a team who have now only won 2 of their previous 14 PL games and one of those was against Sheff Utd. Edited by Willo (13 Apr 2021 9.16am)
