It’s actually a very important game for the club. Win and we won’t be caught by any of the teams below us which could potentially improve the coffers by 8 million quid. Exactly so.

Interestingly the BBC says: "Crystal Palace defenders James Tomkins and Nathaniel Clyne are fit again and hoping to be involved, while Nathan Ferguson is nearing a return." To return, does one not need to have featured already?

Burnley still have Sheff Utd; Southampton have Fulham; and Newcastle have both so there will be pressure from behind us. Wolves' run in is pretty horrible with Spurs, Everton and United - they could lose all 3 - so 5 points from the last 4 could even sneak us 12th. Win and we'll almost be mathematically guaranteed a finish above Brighton.

i predict boredom & frustration for all of us. And a very entertaining game for Southampton. Zaha looking cross. Luka looking tired. Either Cahill or Dann looking old. Roy looking at bringing on Subs at 88 minutes. And he will bring on defensive subs if we need to attack, and vice-versa. Edited by PalazioVecchio (11 May 2021 3.48pm)

Edited by PalazioVecchio (11 May 2021 3.48pm) I don’t know, we’ve played pretty well last 3 games, probably looking the most attacking we’ve done for a while against Sheffield and Leicester. I can certainly see us scoring. Southampton are in no better form than us. 1-1 or 2-2. I think the Villa game Saturday will be when the tiredness kicks in and can see us struggling in that.

I really don't get the tiredness bit ... these guys are supposed to be fit and we have a squad of players. Southampton is just a couple of hours down the M3 in a super luxury coach. They can always have a little nap on their way home! Edited by Henry of Peckham (11 May 2021 7.04pm)
