Connie Booth, who played the chambermaid Polly and was Cleese' wife at the time she co-wrote the originals has expressed surprise that he didn't let her know he was planning the remake. Doesn't look to me like this idea is going to be a roaring success.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Doesn't look to me like this idea is going to be a roaring success. As the narrative progresses I grow more and more fearful of the butchering of what should be considered British television at it's very finest. It feels a bit like bringing Bobby Charlton out of retirement to haul his body around Man U's midfield with the expectance it will be as before. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
