We are down to the utter bare bones here, and with the players available, the team could be :-

Andersen
Mitchell
Doucoure
Schlupp
Hughes
Ayew
Mateta
Rak-Sakyi

Subs.
Matthews
Clyne
Richards
Riedewald
Holding
Ebiowei
Ozoh
Marsh (maybe)

I’m starting to wonder whether we’ll have a starting XI for Forest let alone subs!

We may see a regression to prime ‘Royball’ with Eze the latest player out but so be it, kept us in the Prem for a few years and in times of injury crisis, he’s probably the manager we need right now.

I’ll try and put a positive spin on it and hope we see a full frustration of opponents with us nicking the odd goal or two for the three points. A rallying of the 12th man and a siege mentality as ‘Winter has come’.

COYP!!!! We’ve seen/been through worse scenarios in this latest PL run and survived them all! 2-0

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I’m struggling to see beyond a narrow defeat here. How on earth can we compete with so many injuries?

I'd be surprised (and happy) if we win this game but would not be disappointed with a draw. Always expected this to be a tough one but aren't they all?

Do not alter the back 4 or the 2DMs for continuity, obviously Mateta CF, Midfield Ayew Left, Schlupp Centre, Rak-Sakyi Right,
although JSR hasnt looked ready, he has the ability for that one moment of magic that creates a goal, if not working Ebowei, 1-0 Palace

May HAVE to start Rak Saki. Not good enough yet but will progress faster with these opportunities.

I cannot see Roy risking JRS. He has looked nervous and out of his depth and needs time in the Championship to determine if the promise can be fulfilled.

We need to be solid and rely on experience to win by the odd goal rather than try to play with flair when there’s none available.

I expect JR to play for 2/3rds with Ozoh coming on to push for a win or Richards if we are 2 or more in front.

Leaf it out Stirling. Nice one.

I'm happy to predict another win even without Eze. Our squad is stronger than theirs. I'll go 2-1 Palace.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I think Edouard could be available.

I would have played John Kymani Gordon or at least have him on the bench, as he is that type of player, an actual forward.
