Too many! Generally, I can't bear the guitar solo. Big Rock not my thing. However, on the above, you have impeccable taste sir. I will add Neil Young's one-note guitar solos. Hardly virtuoso playing, but always the RIGHT note. And Tom Verlaine on Marquee Moon. Any many Joey Santiago solos for the Pixies too numerous to mention. Edited by silvertop (23 Feb 2024 10.09am)

Very good Elpis. There are quite a number of very talented, not to mention attractive, young female guitarists who ply their trade on YouTube - Sophie Lloyd's version of Stairway to Heaven is worth a listen (and watch).
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Edited by silvertop (23 Feb 2024 10.09am) Back at you ST. From the mid-70s my tastes changed away from long solos although if I hear Jimmy Page or his like these days I still kind of enjoy them.

For classical music lovers, Rodrigo's guitar concerto. Wonderful played on the guitar, but I almost prefer it as played in "Brassed Off" (1996) on a brass instrument by the then gorgeous Tara Fitzgerald - which I suppose is why I prefer it!
