I'm sure the club have got back up plans. Would be silly not too as there may well be a bigger club who come in for him. However, look at Batshuayi. As soon as we lodged a bid, Chelsea were there scrambling to get over us. I'm pretty sure that there is no chance another deal is being agreed with another club and not one paper is getting a sniff of it. While news outlets can't always be trusted, there is usually a base of truth especially when it is being reported across the board. It's still 1/12 with Sky and 1/19 with a couple of places.

But why would either side want to make pay dependent on what other players might earn in the future? Is there any precedent for such a thing?
