There is a thread on the BBS which is called something like, If the idiots win what will you do? That pretty much sums up the attitude of the young, arrogant, primarily left wing Remain types. They think they own the moral and the intellectual high ground and have contemp for anyone who disagrees with them. There's a lot of this sort of sentiment as well as we f***ed the establishment. I find it bizarre. Boris, (Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson) Eton & Oxford. Farage, Dulwich College MEP for 17 years. Gove, Oxford educated and a minister. Hardly sticking two fingers up to the establishment

A lot of the luvvies are indignant that us thicko leavers haven't the cerebral awakening that they have to have voted with them and their vision of a multicultural society living in bliss and harmony with plenty of cash to splash on Opera and other Thespian performances. Then enjoying a late night sushi style supper before retiring to one's pied-à-terre .... perhaps inviting a young foreign Artisan to partake of a nightcap before indulging in mutually agreeable sex?
Shame the reality is somewhat different for us under classes! Ahhhhh..... but to dream, dear boy!

Farage in Brussells this morning is brilliant. He got lots of boos and a good dozen or 20 people standing and applauding.

I'm not interested where they were educated. You don't want idiots running the country. This is about ignoring the people in pursuit of personal gain and to satisfy corporation greed.

Or you never venture into areas which growing in low paid immigrant numbers. Why would you when you jump on the District Line from work straight to Putney or Wimbledon?

I am not sure how either leaving or remaining in Europe would stop that. There os the quote attributed to Murdoch (which I have no idea of it's authenticity) but either way is believable.

Hoof, this is a genuine question from someone who really doesn't know what to make of it all...can you give me some examples of how leaving the EU will directly benefit you and/or the wider population? Similarly can the remain camp do the same? I hear all this stuff about taking back control of decisions but what decisions have the EU imposed that people are so unhappy about? How has being part of the EU been detrimental and what can we gain from being out of it? I don't live in a bubble but tend to let this stuff wash over and just try to take care of my own. I can't look at any politician and identify with them... one side rubbishes the other to try and gain popularity and once in power promise with one hand and take with the other.

Shame the reality is somewhat different for us under classes! Ahhhhh..... but to dream, dear boy! That sounds bloody awful to me. I never did like pretentious arseholes. They can shove their wine tasting, their theatre and the rest of their pathetic meaningless, self indulgent little lives up the arse. Now I had to interrupt a meeting with my Feng Shui consultant to write this, so you will have to excuse me.

Yes I could.... but the Referendum was last Thursday so what's the point! You could actually read all of this thread, but I guess you want it all packaged up nice and neat in one post without too much trouble? LOL I'll warn you though, some people may have exaggerated the importance/accuracy of their claims on here (on both sides I might add). I've got a dog to walk, lunch to prepare and a couple of episodes of GoT to watch on TV this pm.... sounds better than slaving over my keyboard to belatedly update you with EU referendum Pros/Cons.

Meanwhile NF(with his £2 million plus) will no doubt have bought a large amount of Euros on 23rd June to cushion the blow (probably got his German wife to do it for him).

I didn't say any politician had said any racist comment. I meant the people that are abusing ordinary human beings in their shops, on the streets etc. 57% increase in hate crimes since the referendum. Who do you think is doing these hate crimes? If it isn't the far right groups being emboldened then itmust be non far-right people and that, in it's own way is even worse. People are scared. [Link] Please don't make assumptions about me. I genuinely hope that the politicians didn't foresee their positions as encouraging racism. Don't you hope that as well? Nationalism is a dangerous card to play. I do not have a problem with being proud of your country and indeed am proud to be Welsh and British but you do not have to dislike another country, race etc to be proud of your own country. Some people on the far right do put down, abuse and attack people that do not fit their view of what British is and that is wrong. Or do you disagree? what I disagree with is your assumption that anyone who voted leave is a part of, or has sympathy for the far right. I voted out but I want Hilary Benn for PM FFS. You are trying to bend this into a debate about the far right which it is not, Everyone knows they are dicks, same as any extremist. My point which you are helping me make, is that it would seem that persons such as yourself are hell bent on tarnishing everyone who voted out as a nazi sympathiser, and that simply is not the case. I have the cross of St George tattooed on my leg, I feel this is now stereotyping me as a racist thug, of which I am not, similarly I expect every women in a Burkha feels as though they are being stereotyped as a terrorist, and they are not. So please for sake of clarity stop insinuating all leave voters are racist, as your type of viewpoint is just as harmful as the knuckle dragger's. Edited by dannyh (28 Jun 2016 12.30pm)
