At the end of the day if I was him I would have threatened to leave to with the lack of investment in the squad. Maybe Roy comments saying Wilf wants to leave we’re a way of getting the board to spend money. Let’s wait and see.

He gets criticised for being stroppy, but when things go well you see the polarised emotion of a person that really cares and wants to win.

Imagine if this was a plan by Wilf all along.... say he is leaving, so the club invests in replacing him and add ons, thinking they have some dosh to spend, only for him to turn around and say he is staying with a nice team round him... This was once a quality forum....

If he stays and plays on the right it would be a good balance of youth and experience, with Wilf/Ferguson and Eze/PvA. With Gallagher looking like a bag of energy alongside a more mature head in the middle and we could have some team next season, albeit I still think (like most) that we are missing a striker. Importantly for Wilf, whether he stays or goes, is that he gets out of his head and regains his confidence. He seemed to often overthink things this past year, perhaps due to the slow pace we played football, but hopefully with some youth and energy in the team it will lift his game too. Having said all that he'll probably leave tomorrow

If he stays and plays on the right it would be a good balance of youth and experience, with Wilf/Ferguson and Eze/PvA. With Gallagher looking like a bag of energy alongside a more mature head in the middle and we could have some team next season, albeit I still think (like most) that we are missing a striker. Importantly for Wilf, whether he stays or goes, is that he gets out of his head and regains his confidence. Take it for given that Wilf will be leaving during this transfer window. What about putting PVA more forward and keep the young kid on left back? The injured Dutchman has a good pass in him, his shooting is proper as well. It is defending that is lacking real quality.....

Arsenal are no longer a big club. David Luis still plays there. Luis would not last 5 minutes at a proper big club.

I hope I’m wrong but I think he will be amazing for the first few weeks of the season, we will turn down a couple of derisory offers from Arsenal/ Everton and he will be quite for the rest of the season. I love him but starting to become a bit fed up of the situation.

If we get The right new faces in - and Eze is definately one of them - I'm hoping that Zaha will think that sticking around for another season won't be all that bad. We've had a promising start to this Transfer window, and if the likes of Dazza are to be believed (which I have no reason not to), then the noises coming out of the club are positive on the Transfer front. Hopefully this will mean a more motivated Wilf, even if he doesn't get the move he wants. still think he's gonna leave before the window closes though. "It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

My opinion too. Decent bid comes in at transfer deadline, Zaha wants to go, we have to take it. Yet, as usual, we have failed to get in any replacements. Palace really need to put out a stipulation on Zaha - ie. Cut off for bids. So we can enough time to sort out a replacement, otherwise he stays. This would maybe flush out any interested parties.
