We have signed some great players over the last couple years. There has been a big shift in policy around transfers.

If Rice was worth £105m & Doucoure ran him a fine 2nd in the EPL stats last season & L'pool (maybe) are going to get £40m for Fabinho, then i reckon CD is worth approx £90m. Still, its only click-bait atm.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

He won't go to Liverpool. They've signed Mac Allister and Szobosslai to be their first choice pairing and are now looking for replacements for Henderson and Fabinho who would be more back up anyway. There's no way they chuck £70m+ at a squad player which is surely what we'd demand. However, if they did, I'd take it. He's quality (as is Andersen) but if we could get £120m for the pair of them and invest it back in the squad we could strengthen 4/5 positions quite significantly.

As nice as that sounds, unfortunetly, that money would go to paying off debts, all 3 americans & the cost of the stand.

Both are around same age 23-24 yet Rice has played over 200 games in top flight and by end of this year 50 senior England caps that is some achievement. Doucoure has had what 10 caps for Mali not very impressive is it. In time we will see but currently Rice is far better player and if people are honest with choice out of the two they would go with Rice at this stage. I don't think we will get much Palace news for a while it's the same every season if we do anything it's Aug time more towards the end of transfer window.
