This thread has strengthened my belief that this country needs a bloody good war, primarily to weed out the undesirables that are simply not conforming in present society.

People saw terrible things during the Second World War and didn't w*** about on trivial matters such as worrying about wearing shoes made of a material that isn't from an animal.

Is it possible in 50 years we will look back at the time of mass meat eating as a time of hideous brutality?

I would be very surprised if none of them took performance enhancing drugs

Hopefully not. By then, we will hopefully have bred a 'superfood', which will be a veal/pork hybrid animal which eats vegans.

Hmm, delicious meatballs from one animal and we will have dealt with the 'vegan problem' in one fell swoop.

That's interesting. So you don't attribute their sporting prowess to their vegan diet then?

It's a combination of both. These guys are at the top of their game doing everything that they can to get the most out of their bodies.

More likely meat will be grown in a laboratory without the need to be cruel or exploitative to animals

Difficult to draw any comparison then. Diet plus drugs doesn't mean you can single out either factor for why they are top of their game. And obviously Defoe isn't the best striker in the Premier League anyway.

I should add, I'm not making any allegations that any of these sports stars are taking performance enhancing drugs. I am following your thought process through...you know, in case there are any lawyers reading this.

It is difficult to draw any comparison, you are correct. It is, however, validation that vegan diets cannot seriously compromise even top level athletes performing at their best.

No it isn't. Not if they are supplementing with drugs.

I should say that it neither proves nor disproves what you are saying. I'm not asserting one way or another.

Nearly all top athletes are taking performance enhancing drugs, through TUE's and just juice that isn't tested for.
