Who’s got more market value out of Guehi and Cucurella? So, when the top clubs start consistently paying those figures for proven performing prem quality players…it stands to reason why some of the fees seem so high. Marc Geuhi at 60m looks cheap. Anderson at 50m looks fair. Doucoure at 35m…that’s total BS. But I have to say, he doesn’t look like a Liverpool player to me, not yet anyway. Well north of €35 hopefully means 50.....

Franca to Palace is very close. Great news. Exciting. I read it last night online. Here’s the article. Below translated Flamengo accepts proposal, board of directors aligns details and Matheus França is close to Crystal Palace Small details are missing for Matheus França to be an official player as a Crystal Palace player. Flamengo and the English club agreed on the last details of the striker's sale at the end of Tuesday night. Torcedores.com found that Crystal Palace, which belongs to Eagle Football Holdings of investor John Textor, offered 30 million euros (R$ 161 million, at the current rate) to acquire the player's economic rights.
The transaction, if confirmed in the next few hours, will be the third largest in Flamengo's history. Matheus França will be behind Vinícius Júnior's 45 million euros for Real Madrid and Lucas Paquetá's 38.7 million euros for Milan. Also according to the report, the transaction was conducted by the vice president of football of Flamengo, Marcos Braz, and the representative of Crystal Palace, Giuliano Bertolucci, who has been in Rio de Janeiro since last Friday. Flamengo still tries to maintain 10% of Matheus França's economic rights. Even so, the player's staffe still does not give the operation as completed. What is known, at this moment, is that Chelsea is considered a card out of the deck. Marcos Braz has not yet managed to convince Crystal Palace to keep a "slice" of the striker thinking about a future negotiation. There is also the possibility for the English club to acquire 100% of the athlete's pass. The details of Matheus França's negotiation Fixed value: 30 million euros (R$ 161 million) Bonuses: 10 million euros (R$ 54 million): goals scored, matches played, titles won, Golden Ball finalist and winning the Golden Ball Total: 40 million euros (R$ 215.9 million)

Mind-blowing, and something I would usually dismiss as click-bait if it were not for it being on a relatively reputable site. I'm certain it was nothing more than a passing idea at Liverpool's end, but f*** me, I'd carry him to Anfield on my back for that sort of money.

Decoure made a massive difference to us last term and selling him would be a big loss.

Rice led the league in just about every category for his position, he also has a lot more experience in the PL. Don't get me wrong, I like Decoure too, but if you told me (or almost anyone else without the last name of Ganger) I could have Rice or Decoure in that position, I know who I would choose. BTW, latest piece of clickbait has PSG also in for him. May be the club just trying to drive his price up. Edited by Daddyorc (19 Jul 2023 4.34pm)
