Well, we had some great defensive additions in the January trqnsfer window: Millivosevic as defensive midfielder and two good leftsided defenders in Schlupp and Van aanholt. Howver we do need considerable strengthening in the CB area with the situationovef buying or replacing Sakho. On the positive side, Dann should be well recovered by the start of the season. And we do need RB cover for Ward. But defensively we are already a lot less frail than this time last year.

Just give Sammy Lee the job. Its beginning to look clear that the Yanks have reined in the purse strings because they want the first return on their investment. As Alan Pardew famously said, the Americans don't know much about football and all Steve Parish has to do is to tell them the sorry saga of Birmingham's new owners and how they very nearly wrecked the club and therefore their investment by thinking that they knew more than they did

Well documented or well rumoured? There was a bit of a horror story in The Mirror this morning that the Americans want Dyche as he's used to managing on a shoe string. If it's true it's very worrying but there again is it true as I didn't think that The Mirror had a direct line to Harris and Blitzer Parish suggested it in the American radio interview. With the ceiling being 8th place. Palace only being 5 pts off Southampton in 8th. The extra/extreme investment is hardly worth. The potential 3 or 5 places in the table. Worth extra 6 to 8m if 8th placed is achieved. If your an investor. We may have to go with the likes of Hennessy, ward and puncheon for one more season.
