With 10 games left of the season I hope the club are getting a shortlist ready. Only 2 management positions have come available this season and I think the club will be in a strong position to recruit if they act quickly with managers climbing over each other to get an opportunity in the best league in the world. With Newcastle, Southampton, and Brighton likely to sack their managers at the end of the season, swift action is required to beat them to the punch. Benitez would be my top choice. It is unlikely, but we managed to sign up Holloway, Pardew, and arguably De Boer were scalps with big reputations at the time. What's to say we can't get Rafa. Dyche is a possibility if he is considering his position at Burnley again, if Fulham get relegated Parker would make an excellent manager. Then depending on who doesn't get promoted Franks and Cooper are good candidates from the Championship. Then there's plenty of others available, Coleman and Howe seem to be stating their case everytime they go on TV. Lampard, Wagner, Terry, Klinsmann all outside possibilities. Following the Euro's it's a possibility that a number of international managers could leave. Southgate had managed to get England through international tournaments with pride rather than the total embarrassment of 2014 which was only topped by 2016. I'm sure there's many other candidates that could come from left field. The end of this season will be a really good time to go shopping for a new manager. This is a factor the board must be alive to. Having suffered our fair share of managers walking out on us for another offer (still haven’t forgiven TV for leaving us for QPR!) I would like us to appoint someone for the longer term who has integrity and proven loyalty. Howe, Dyche and Parker would all be good options. (Before I shouted down about Parker I will qualify his inclusion in that I think IF Fulham went down I wouldn’t consider it disloyal of him to leave for a job in the Premier League offering longer term security having given his all for 2+ seasons) In addition I think we are an appealing club for an ambitious Manager so I want the next man to be kicking SP’s door off the hinge to get the managers job. We have seen at West Ham what a fully committed manager (with a track record) can achieve.

Since Moyes has been at W.Ham they have spent around £70 mill on new players.Compare this to our spending whilst Mr Hodgson has been in charge.

West Ham have also benefited from a year without playing with the pressure of their rancid home crowd. If they have a poor start next season I suspect normal service will be resumed
