I'd be willing to bet that we've done everything at our end - fee, personal terms etc. So the stumbling block is at their end either the club or the player are stalling. I don't want anyone coming in thinking they've made a mistake before they've even kicked a ball for us.

Problem here is that the deal for him is for a one year loan with a guaranteed purchase then for £10m. If we are to believe that LFC are holding out on our deal due to wanting 'all or most of the fee up front' then this makes the Valencia 'sale' pointless and irrelevant. I agree with those who think it's more a case of ironing out the tiny details of what is close to a £50m investment fro the club.

I hope we do get Benteke but we also need another center half as well as Tomkins and another midfielder passer. Our No.1 priority must be a proper striker.
