Still not understand what the lads are doing in training week in week out. We ought to expect a bit better basic knowledge - passing the ball to a teammate, some idea when having throw-ins, and simply not be outplayed so easily. Even WBA played far better football than us (yes, I know the scoreline) - and it is just painful watching a hopeless, ineffective Benteke game after game.

Roy provides that with relatively few headaches and low outlay for the powers that be at board level. It is what it is .. ask fans of Forest or Sunderland if they would swap places, we all know the answer. Royball is here to stay, the fans only input is purchasing a ST to endure hours of dull repetitive football in some vain hope of one good game per season at Selhurst. Probably right. If SP’s only goal is staying up then Roy could well get offered another year. I suspect he doesn’t like watching us getting hammered in some games against the top clubs, with our run in that is the only thing that could go against Roy.

f***, that would be worse than Sam "I'm not a crook". I'd still watch, but damn that would be a hard watch. Couple of years ago I heard an interview with ex-player ( can’t remember who), he stated he had been on coaching courses with Dyche and felt he was given unwarranted press regarding his playing style. He basically said Dych can adapt his style to the players he has at his disposal. I would not be adverse to it, unless we are willing to take a pint on relatively unknown, Ismael but I doubt it , or even Michael Beale, certainly one for the future Edited by Spiderman (14 Mar 2021 8.44am)

On the whole Roy has been great for Palace, but the performances over the past few months have been turgid. The great results have glossed over what has been total dross. How we got anything out of both the Fulham and Brighton games is a miracle. Had we lost both of those 2-0, like we deserved, I’m not sure there would be much support for Roy. We were fortunate today that WBA are one of the few teams worse than us. I hope it’s Roy’s last season and I’d be the first to give him a standing ovation. I also hope we take a gamble with a manager and new players because nothing can be worse then watching dire game after dire game with nothing to play for. Once again our season is effectively over with 9 games left. What a dull existence we have become. Correct. Many of my friends considered Palace their second team as they were entertaining, fast on the break and exciting to watch. Whenever the pundits have commented in recent weeks (quite rightly so) comments such as “difficult to watch”, “not much to talk about”, “dour”, “at least there was a goal”, “outright robbery” and “at least we don’t have see games like that with other matches” is extremely frustrating and actually embarrassing. The millions watching on BBC on other television stations in the last couple of months would no doubt sigh and groan at the prospect of us playing. Roy has been great for us and will be remembered fondly, rightly so too. Nevertheless, his continuing positive comments in interviews after matches which have been akin to conference league performances while sticking a fork in ones leg makes the pain worse. Come on. The way play is not the palace way. Things really have to change. Where, for goodness sake was the third substitute to get on the pitch?

Im only guessing but i think we have already spoken to Eddie Howe and now that we are virtually safe those talks will intensify. He wouldn't have to uproot his family from his Bournemouth base either. I'm in two minds about him but Parish tried for him before so we are led to believe and if it is him he wants then he will get his man this time.

"Chez Eddie" is in Lower Parkstone near Poole Harbour. His No 2 at Bournemouth Jason Tindall will be assisting caretaker Sheff Utd manager Paul Heckingbottom.

It’s ugly and tedious beyond belief, we have though got into a decent place in the table. I really hope they use the three week break to work on some technical things like passing forward to someone in the same shirt and looking like they know how to receive a throw in

I know the comings and goings of the games have been unhelpful for our players resting periods which are vital for everyone let alone older squads but our squad even before this pandemic had problems with the simple task of pass and move, one thing we all know now is that our squad cannot have another season of this pattern continuing, we can all see the effortless ease in which Eze flows beautifully across the pitch, he is a joy to watch ..he is our future and he is the one to build around, so we have hope at least.

I would be delighted if he were our manager Not only does he present low risk (due to a proven track record on a shoestring), but our improving facilities and overall set up are a perfect environment for the next phase of his career. I read some very interesting articles about his man management philosophy and he clearly has the skills to improve players. Exactly what we need at the Palace.

In Mr Hodgson's post-match interview he mentioned "We", "We" with regard to the remainder of this season but in reference to next season he said "Crystal Palace".
