Three years time the top six or seven will be playing with Real Madrid and Munich against these new Arab teams. They’ve got all the money and they’ll soon have all the talent. Spot on.

I hope all this latest talk of Palace complaining about Chelsea tapping up Olisse illegally does not have an effect on our ability to loan the players we want from Chelsea.

Good points actually, he always looks so laid back and arrogant sometimes. You do wonder when he’s got to work so much harder to get in the team at Chelsea whether he’s got enough fire in his belly for the challenge I think we will all watch his progress with interest. He was always good to watch with his deft touch and sublime ball skills. If I had one "criticism" ( not sure that is the right word) of him it would be that he is just a little bit predictable in his play i.e. running wide down the right flank and then cutting in to get the ball on his preferred left foot. But, having said that, all those assists served us well last season.

Tapping up? He had a release clause. As the press said it is informal wingeing that's all.

Whatever brave face we may attempt to put on, the fact is that we will miss Olise terribly, will struggle to replace him, have less chance of getting into the top half now he's gone and will likely play more prosaic football without him. Whether it's a formal release clause like Olise has, or the end of a contract looming into view with a player that may not sign a new one, the effect is the same in respect of the 'buy young, develop and sell' model, in that we've no sooner got through the two or three year period in which we must show patience and understanding while the developing young player makes mistakes and is inconsistent, and then he's off. Even if we somehow find a gem of similar potential to replace Olise, we will likely be back to square one in terms of the individual development process. The same will likely happen with Eze. Whatever money we get, we never get the benefit of the fully developed player.

For all their £900m Chelsea still drew with Liverpool at home on Saturday. Good luck Michael!

As good as MO is he never really connected with the fans. I always thought he never really wanted to be here. Didnt celebrate goals much with his team mates, all in all quite a strange personality. Sorry to see him go but we move on
