 I too was cautious of the Carrasco rumour. But I was wondering last night if SP sees a need to get bigger names into the club to attract the investment and/or new owners. Rumour is his wage would be around £100k, which is big, but if we get Benteke out that could cover the wage issue. His stats for this season look pretty promising, and he's not about to take his pension. I can see bigger clubs not wanting to take the risk until they see him performing again in a bigger league. Mattteo/Willo ect. Anyone know how other big players have performed after coming back to Europe from Chine (Paulinho ect.)?

| the last i heard there were 4 clubs in for him (inc us) so his agent is doing his job..... ( i will however apologise if im proved wrong later!!)

Also haven't we just brought in a yound left sided player from Scotland? We're trying to bring down the average age of the squad and think more long term, yet as soon as any player becomes available you're all screaming we should bring them in. Surely our aim should be to trim wages, especially on older players who aren't regular i.e. Sakho, Benteke, and bring in younger replacements.
