The only explanation I can come up with is: Dumb and Dumber in the US want out, the AWB has paid off any debt so they can now try to sell a debt-free club.
Hopefully this will be done and maybe SP should move aside as well, if his presence is restrictive to any potential buyers.
If they don't sell we are in the s*** well and truly.

I am not happy with Wilf getting an improved contract, SP has shown WZ is bigger than the club and has held the club to ransom. If I was in the squad I would be asking questions, team harmony? probably not anymore

What ever the situation he is contracted to palace, he has a job to do. I'm feeling positive with cahill added to the back.

Even by Palace standards, this has been a bizarre final day of the transfer window.
I woke up feeling miserable because Wilf's transfer to Everton looked inevitable, but on the positive side we were being linked with some very exciting potential signings.
It now transpires that Wilf is staying, until January at least but no more signings are planned. I am delighted that Wilf is staying. He is the best and most exciting Palace player I have seen in 65+ years of supporting them. That Wilf will leave by the end of next season seems inescapable, but I have found the media circus that has surrounded Wilf in the past few days tawdry and undignified and I hope that in the coming months, bridges can be built and the bad feelings dissipated.
On a wider front, I have been surprised that we haven't signed any specialist full back cover for Joel Ward and PVA, and can only be hopeful that our strikers hit goalscoring form at long last.
There's likely to be a real edge to the atmosphere on Saturday. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Wilf plays, has an absolute blinder, scores a couple of goals and gets our season off to a winning start. Here's hoping!

I think Wilf wants to leave because of our lack of ambition. I don't think this transfer window has done anything to demonstrate that he is wrong.

If I was Roy I would suggest to Wilf that we rate him higher than Everton do as they were not prepared to pay the asking price. I would suggest he then go and show Everton what they are missing out on.
