Assuming you're talking about Wahi, I very much hope we don't go there. Have you seen the Wiki entry on him? - seemingly not a very nice person - not at all someone I want anywhere near Palace.

All I could see on there is that he got sent off for two yellows in quick succession when at Sunderland.

Regardless of that, Wahbi Khazri is 32 and has two years left on his current contract. We wouldn’t pay for a player that old and we wouldn’t offer someone that age more than a one year deal.

Lol right club but wrong player. We have been linked with Elye Wahi…it’s fair to say, his Wiki page isn’t positive.

For those thinking that Richards could replace Guehi, surely that would be a tough one as Richards is a right sided player and that matters at Centre Half - just my opinion.

Maybe we could get Shipperley to mentor Wahi, take him out in the van?

I was very much under the impression that was the plan.

From my relatively ignorant and anxious viewpoint however, that plan does not sit well alongside what already looks an incomplete squad to me and my lack of faith we will move for more 'gems' in the Transfer Window or general lack of trust in us getting any reasonable volume of transfers done at all.

I still fear hypothetically that Lerma is a Doucoure replacement as we'll sell him with the board relying upon Richards being fit to fill a Guehi or Andersen size hole, Tomkins being wheeled out of the retirement home occasionally and the money made seemingly going elsewhere. Meanwhile we'll sign the 'Lithuanian Maradona' to replace Zaha who'll spend the season on loan to a third tier Latvian side.

That's just me and my fears however!

Yes i agree with both of you there . It is a profit over loss busniss after all , the days of the hobby owner have well passed by for Palace . If the right offer comes in for the right player then im afraid he will be sold and Lanzo that inckudes EZE unfortunatly

It will be interesting to see the make up of the squad travelling to America at the weekend.
Will Guehi, Anderson, Doucoure, Guiata and Mateta travel?
It won’t provide a definitive answer to the speculation but if there is serious and advanced interest in them you would think that potential buying clubs would want them to join their own pre season preparations.
There are also question marks over Zaha (fitness, contract) and Schlupp (still absent as far as I can ascertain).
We’re three weeks from the season kicking off and it’s not ideal preparation although I’m sure the optimists will say there is plenty of time and that many other clubs have similar squad complications.

So with Franca deal completed & Zaha about to be confirmed we will now turn our attentions to a Striker.

Gray is still in advanced talks also.

Striker from Montpellier will be amazing if we can pull that off.

Looking good, Europe here we come

Interviewed a few days ago Hodgson said the team for Watford, and going to the states, will be pretty much the team for this season.
He didnt mention any additions to the side other than Lerma, whether that indicated no Wilf, or even no anybody is hard to say. But with three mid fielders leaving including the loan and then Wilf, surely something must be coming in. Obviously if so not with too much preparation time. This happened last year and only in January did we sign two mid fielders when the space was there all along.

In his recent interview on Palace TV, Hodgson seem to say that he hopes to field the team he expects to start the season with in tomorrow's match against Watford assuming they are all fit and ready to start.

Just seen Putitout beat me to it by a couple of minutes.

From BBC. I sincerely hope this story fades away but at least a decent amount being touted now.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
