He looks like a slimey car salesman.

I don't trust that Phil Alexander guy. Especially after just finishing Jordan's book.

really? i enjoyed SJ's book but didnt believe half the stuff he dressed up in their to make himself look good.

on my part...im much more inclined to believe the views from delmay & penge when it comes to alexander...i dont know him personally, so i will respect their views over anybody elses.

In all seriousness he he been the one piece of stability and continuity in all the administrations. He must have talents for all the incoming purchasers to retain his services. also has Premiership admin experience from our previous promotions which, the current owners haven't.

I'm pretty sure he was instrumental in getting CPFC2010 together to buy the club and generates a lot of money for the club, while running the various departments. Also a really nice bloke.

Yes, he was. In Jordan's probably revisionist historical view, PA was assembling the takeover troops on one hand while being paid by SJ to be loyal to his ownership on the other but you could arguably interpret that as acting in the best interests of the club rather than the owner. Whatever.

There's another side to this whereby SP offered SJ some help but SJ declined. I don't know the full story but it's quite likely SJ didn't want to give over more stake than he thought SP should have based on investment amount. But this is SJ all over. It was always what something might be worth, not what it actually was worth. 2 very different ways of doing business. One on a wing and a prayer looking for the long shot and one using logic and always looking to have the odds in his favour.

There's a poster called SW16 Girl on the BBS. She's very knowledgeable on all things administration, us and Pompey etc, and SJ and SP. I don't know if she ever wants to revisit HOL but she has an account and could put a few people straight on how SJ wanted to keep control of everything, even though he steered it into the rocks already.

I would take her as an unreliable witness, she always had it in for SJ because he did not see the point in the Trust and didn't want to deal with them.

Perhaps another question is, why is he still at the club. I do not know of any other business where the CEO would survive two let alone three bouts of administration.

She's also heavily involved in the trust and has been accused by many as 'having her own agenda' when giving out opinions/information.
For the record I do not have an opinion on that claim but would be cautious about taking her (or the trusts word) as red. The Trust were at loggerheads with Simon Jordan for years. Their opinion of all thing SJ related are likely to have their own Trust shaped slant on it.

PA and the Trust are very similar in that there are enormous question marks hanging over the purpose of both their existence.

I think Phil is nailed on to get a senior job at the FA soon. He's f***ing useless, no one knows what he does, he's a professional arse-licker and nothing ever sticks to him. If that's not the experience required of an FA executive then I don't know what is.

What does the Trust actually do?

The Trust spent lots of time and money looking at venues that could become our new training ground, gathering opinion from fans and board members, speaking to various authorities only for us to get promoted and CPFC2010 to purchase the existing training ground. Think its time all the money that was donated to the trust is given back to the fans in the way of free away travel until the cash has gone, well what hasn't already been spent and borrowed that is.
