Back in the mid 80s the place where I was working had a manager who was well into Beaujolais Noveau day. Several of us would slope off at about 12:30 to indulge and that was it as far as any further productivity for that day was concerned.

My teeth had a fur on them the next morning after those sessions. 12:30pm I'm afraid .. our landlord wasn't one of those who used to fly to France, pick up the crates, and try to be the first one back to serve that year's "vintage". Yep, generally pissthy stuff.
