I'm sure we wanted to keep him, but everyone has their price. We certainly want to keep Dann, but if City comes and offers us 80 million for him, you do it. We aren't big enough where generous offers for our players can be turned down.

amen. i was trying to figure one area where YB is better. tricky flicks which result in nothing seems about all. finishing, crossing, pace, defending - AT is better at them all. and it's not close.

watched a bit of YB on saturday - he does well with lukaku. probably what we'd have seen with him linking with CB. but townsend is better. can't see an argument against it.

Bolassie had more Agents in the last 3 years then Richard Burton had wives.

I think we got Townsend because we knew we wanted Benteke. With (if true) Bolassie thinking he should have parity with the best paid players, then the writing was on the wall.
