This post has been merged from a topic called 'Increase In Foodbank Users' by Penge Eagle Apparently, according to left wing propaganda, more people are taking advantage of so called food banks. Why don't they get a job to get money to buy food, or if on benefits, stop smoking and using mobile phones and spend the money on food. Edited by hedgehog50 (07 Nov 2017 10.36pm)

There is another aspect to this that hardly ever gets a mention any more. During the last election much was made of employed people having to use food banks and Corbyn highlighted the case of a nurse in Scotland that couldn't manage without food banks. It was casually mentioned in the media that the poor nurse was a single mother as if that made it worse but whatever happened to the idea that absent fathers should contribute to the upbringing of their children.
