Let the Right One In - some pretentious Swedish stuff about vampires - utter tosh, never seen four weddings and never will, apart from the first black adder, the unfunniest, anything by Richard Curtis is to be avoided like small pox, likewise anything with Gary Oldman or Benedictine Cucumberpatch.

So you're who they made the first series for. BC is great as Holmes.

I liked it. I'm not sure what people want from an Alien movie. The only mistake Ridley Scott made with that film was listening to what people want.

Long time since I've seen it, but I didn't think The Sixth Sense was all that. Saw the end coming a mile off. Although I thought it started off very well, I didn't like La La Land much either. That City of Stars theme drove me up the wall. I would probably have added Mamma Mia! to the list too, but I have no intention of ever seeing it even once. There was a similar thread on here some years ago, and my list at the time included Annie Hall and Midnight Cowboy (both of which won an Oscar for Best Picture). Annie Hall has some great moments in it though so I wouldn't say it was that bad now, but I've still never understood the appeal of Midnight Cowboy. It's all subjective though, and I'm sure many people love these films and think they're absolute classics - as much as I do Singin' in the Rain, Star Wars and The Shawshank Redemption!

Several comments before this have been luke-warm about "La La Land". In all my long cinema history I have never seen such a preposterously overrated load of wombats' poo. Third (sorry fourth or even fifth) rate in every category...acting, music, screenplay, cinematography, and so on. I would probably have just dismissed it as a rubbish non-event but when it started being compared to the magnificent classic Hollywood musicals of earlier times and winning awards I gasped in total astonishment. Wasn't all that keen on it really.

Les Miserables (Russell Crowe & Hugh Jackman) was absolute torture . Also, The Hurt Locker, winner of The Academy award for best picture a while back, has to be one of the most over rated. Billed as “the best war movie of all time”, its constant filming through gaps in chairs, cracks in doors or with other objects partially obscuring your view (as if you’re spying on the action). I thought it was a steaming pile of s***e. What do I know though? Gary Oldman, The Usual Suspects, Seven, Blade Runner, Shawshank Redemption & the Star Wars films have all been mentioned on this thread as dislikes.
