What a shocker. Leftist feels uncomfortable about having any kind of love for his own country.

England along with our Celtic brothers invented the modern game. I know some on the left like to whitewash or rewrite history but there it is. I am not in the least bit embarrassed about "footballs coming home". It's just a catchy song that England fans can gather around, of course football is a global game. And what do Brazilian and German fans sing when they win?

It’s just a joke, playing on the idea that English fans believe that the World Cup somehow belongs in England and that we’ll win every game because we’re ‘so arrogant’. Only the true England haters would take it seriously. And there are plenty of them getting more and more angry and worried!

what a shocker, anyone with a different opinion to yourself, is a leftist. Another leftist trait is taking the fun out of anything because they feel 'uncomfortable' with these imaginary connotations. It's got nothing to do with the Empire or football violence, just a bit of fun, linked to a catchy pop song, and it's uniting the whole country with a sense of feel good not seen for a while. Enjoy it! According to the Guardian (of all places): "The refrain “it’s coming home”was actually a reference to the fact that when the song was released, England was hosting its first major football tournament since the 1966 World Cup. But the snippet has evolved to refer to both England’s hopes of bringing home the World Cup trophy but also the disputed spiritual home of football. The international governing body, Fifa, says football in its current form was invented in England in 1863." [Link] PS It's coming home. Edited by Penge Eagle (09 Jul 2018 11.15am)

Arrogant insufferable boorish 'its coming home' 'Planning our route to the WC final'. Mind-boggling. A burden on the English team. A motivation to the opposing side.
