Kelly is a great squad player... I can't help but think Pardew damaged him and his confidence somewhat... He persisted playing him at left back and Kelly is just not a left back or a right back for that matter... I think his performances as a full back tarnished our opinion of Kelly as a player and it has taken a while for us to realise he is a good player when operating in his favoured position.
