Ward got that first goal so wrong - from showing him outside with no cover to no pace to stay with him.

If we want to carry on with the 433 we need to high press and force mistakes, pushing higher up the pitch. Our problem is half of our defence are too slow (Ward and Andersen) and one long ball and they are floundering.

Well the good news is we’re only a goal down and we’re always better in the second half so there’s still hope.

A major worry for rest of season is that Ward is now not just our dirty little secret. His weaknesses (speed primarily) are out there and all opposition teams will target him.
The beatings will stop when morale improves. |

Schuulp off, Luka on, push Hughes to CM. Ward off, Clyne on please ! I really wish Olise would run at his opponent instead of looking to pass it off sideways everytime. He's become too predicable lately and Norwich know that. Looking for a vast improvement in 2nd. half,

Those Benteke tinted glasses again Well tbh mate we're not looking like scoring...so our best bet might be off a set piece. And love him or hate him, Benteke is by far our most dangerous threat in the air from corners. Equally happy with Eduoard. Anyone but Bambi.

We have the 2 worst pundits in the business at the game this evening - Chris Sutton and Clive Allen. Both of them are criticising Palace for moving the ball too slowly, sideways and backwards. Something needs to change second half. Sadly Wardy shot to bits now. Needs to be put out to grass I am afraid.
