Today's pick of a pretty thin bunch is Joint Statement (Bath 3.40). Won at 8/11, bringing winnings up to £41.18. Saxon's winnings for the 60p bet are... wait for it... £1.04!

Clinton to score first (£2 @ 11/2) and Brum to lead at ht and ft (£4 @ 11/4). Nice £22 profit, and hopefully they'll now get deducted 12 points for failing to control their fans! Penge has suggested an excellent idea -- that from now on, as well as the nags, I occasionally post tips on here for bets on Palace matches, and other football issues. Those of you that visit the incredible Paddy Whiting's tips page at [Link] will know the kind of thing we're looking for here. Obviously it goes without saying that any money you lose cannot be reclaimed from me, Penge, Guntri, HOL, or anyone else! More details to follow at a later date, but I'm starting this thread today so we can make the most of tonight's match against Derby, and anything else that comes up. Tips may not be made every day, just when I think there's a value bet to be had. An example would be yesterday, when I backed Clinton to score first (£2 @11/2) and Brum to lead at half-time and full-time (£4@11/4) and won £28 from a £6 stake. Today's bet(s) will follow shortly. Please feel free to ignore them if you think you can do better. After all, I'd never have tipped 4-2 for the Wolves match, so it's not as if I'm infallible! Quite the opposite in fact.

Palace v Derby Recent form isn't too helpful really... last five league matches are as follows: Palace 4-2(H), 0-0 Both teams are next to eachother in the league table as well. On balance it seems that Derby usually score, and Palace usually draw. Rob Lee is doubtful for Derby, but Kinkladze appears to be fit to play. Derry is out for us, as well as the usual injuries. Routledge should play. So I'd suggest taking Draw at half-time and full-time (4/1) and exact score 1-1 at 11/2. The most common prediction in the thread on Palace Talk, is 2-1 to Palace, which is worth 8/1. Other football today Surely Valencia v Liverpool has a draw written all over it. Houllier has said he's going for all-out attack (which means 4-5-1 probably!) so it's possible Liverpool may take an early lead, but we all know what their defence is like in the last 10 minutes these days. I would take Liverpool leading at half time but draw at full time at 14/1, and have a saver on draw at full time only at 21/10. All odds above are from BlueSq.com. I prefer to bet with my heart, not my head. It makes winning that much more satisfying and besides, what's a few quid here or there? So my tips for tonight are: Palace to win - 13/10 with Sportingbet and Bet365 and Valencia to win half-time/full-time - 9/4 with Ukbetting and BlueSquare. Combined odds of nearly 13/2. Which would give £130 profit on a £20 stake.
